With unfailing gratitude
Dear Friends,
Psalm 107 proclaims, “Shout praises to the Lord! He is good to us, and his love never fails” (CEV). This is our posture as we reflect on the goodness of God and how we have been sustained by your prayers and support during this global pandemic.
We are grateful for and humbled by how you have cared for us from afar and remained connected to our work the last three months. You have joined our virtual program offerings, celebrated our song and a prayer to close each day, and have sought racial justice at this critical time. Thank you.
Our incredible staff, residents, council, and you – our generous community – make seeking the healing and transformation of this metropolitan city feasible, with God’s help. We are blessed to be beneficiaries of an amazing God and a remarkable community. We genuinely appreciate your unfailing love and commitment as we continue to be a place of prayer and healing for this city and beyond.
Next week (June 14-20):
- Juneteenth Zoom Gathering – in commemoration of the anniversary of the ending of slavery in the United States, join us on Thursday evening, June 19, from 7:00-8:15 PM for a conversation on roots, rights, redemption and you as we search for an answer to the question What does it mean to be free? Register here.
- ALP Seniors Graduate – we celebrate the graduation from high school of eleven ALP youth and honor their participation in the Armstrong Leadership Program. On Sunday, they will be recognized in an end-of-the-year virtual awards ceremony before family, mentors, and other ALP supporters. Please keep the graduating seniors in your thoughts and prayers as they transition to the next phase of their lives.
