Water Pipes Burst on Christmas Day
On Christmas Day, Richmond Hill sustained several pipe bursts which have impacted much of our building. In true Richmond Hill fashion, the response to the Christmas Day pipes burst and resulting damage has shown the immeasurable generosity of spirit within our community.
From the faithful team who kept watch overnight for additional leaks, to those who have volunteered time with the cleanup, to all the people that covered this community with prayer, your response has been a testament to God’s spirit at work.
Residents and staff have worked tirelessly for the past few days to quell further impact, but there has been substantial damage to our building, heat and electrical systems. While our insurance company assesses total damage, we anticipate that our ability to host guests will be impaired through January.
From now until midnight on New Year’s Eve, some generous donors have stepped up to match every gift, up to $7500. Will you join this effort by making a gift to Richmond Hill before midnight on December 31st?
Your gifts help move Richmond Hill into 2023 with hope that together, we will overcome this and whatever other challenges the future has in store as we all continue to seek God’s healing of metropolitan Richmond.
