Become a light this Advent!
Advent is a season of new beginnings. Our Richmond Hill community embraces these new beginnings through our faithful residential community and through you—one of thousands who work faithfully, day by day, to bring healing and health to Metropolitan Richmond.
- Together, we prepare to welcome, and work with, our newly elected officials — from the President of the United States to Virginia legislators to our RVA city and county leaders. How can we best encourage and counsel them?
- At Richmond Hill, we anticipate the 30th anniversary of our mission to advance God’s healing of Metropolitan Richmond, through prayer, hospitality, spiritual development and racial reconciliation. How might we best serve Metropolitan Richmond at this time?
- As individuals, each of us is growing more fully into the person God intends us to be, whether in the context of our families, neighbors, coworkers or the strangers we meet. How can we best support one another in this growth?
As we move through Advent towards Christmas, more and more candles will fill our windows each Sunday. They will shine into our Metropolitan City and into the new beginnings of 2017. Let us pray together and light a candle—in each of our homes and at Richmond Hill.
Let the light of all our Advent candles brighten our faces and illuminate the path for all we meet — the light of Christ’s love in a dark world.
As you consider your year-end giving, please know that it is your generosity that helps shine the light of Christ brightly through our many ministries. So, please give generously.
As a tribute to the Sisters of the Visitation of Monte Maria, who came to Richmond 150 years ago to pray for the healing of our City, we invite you to join us in making a special gift, over and above your planned giving, of $15, $150, $1500, or more.
This Advent is a season of new beginnings, so let us embrace it together — for our time!
Be the light!
