Personal Retreats
A retreat is an intentional time away from our normal activities to spend time getting reacquainted with God, to experience a new awareness of the presence of God.
Retreats call us to examine the priorities of life and to make concrete and practical resolutions for improvement. They offer an opportunity to get some distance and see things in perspective.
We read in the Gospels that Jesus often withdrew to a deserted place by himself despite the many demands placed upon him — or perhaps because of them! If Jesus needed to withdraw from time to time, chances are good that you and I need to do so, too!
Richmond Hill offers overnight retreats for persons who desire rest and time to seek God. Retreats may be taken in 24-hr increments between Tues. 4 p.m.– Sun. 4 p.m.
In addition, organized retreats are offered periodically for individuals who wish to be a part of a facilitated retreat rhythm. Spiritual guidance is available for any individual on retreat.
The recommended donation is $95 per 24 hrs, which covers lodging and meals. Click here for a more detailed suggested donation breakdown.
Individuals are welcome to visit Richmond Hill Tuesday through Friday during normal operating hours to experience this oasis on the hill and take advantage of the chapel, library, gardens, and grounds, including our Labyrinth. Some weekends are also available for such scheduled visits.
For those desiring more structure to their retreat time, Richmond Hill offers organized retreats that can be a one-time experience or you may find they become a regular habit! For example, there are monthly day retreats offered each First Friday of the month, along with Art & Spirituality and grief retreats offered quarterly.
