PEMKO PRIVACY DOOR LATCH The revamped Pemko Privacy Door Latch (PDLAA) brings a sleek and stylish design to interiorcorridor openings such as hotels or dormitories. The new contemporary design maintains the latchs simple operation. Pemkos redesigned Privacy Door Latch is compatible with existing accessories and is easily retrofittable with the legacy Pemko PDL latch. This durable accessory allows the door to be opened for identification while providing privacy for the guest or resident. The design of the PDLAA does not allow the door to be held open, avoiding door and frame damage caused by the door slamming against a traditional flip latch or chain. Silicone bumpers on the latch provide additional protection for the door. The PDLAA is UL Classified as a fire door accessory. It also meets the requirements of NFPA80 Sections 5.2.4.2 and 5.2.13.3, that requires auxiliary hardware does not interfere or prohibit the proper operation of fire rated doors, and that doors are not blocked or wedged in the open position. Additionally, with proper installation, the latch meets the requirements of ADAAG-2010 and ANSI A117.1-2017 with regards to operation and reach rangeaterial.
