Jesus and Social Justice — April 6, 2023
Offered in person on Thursday, April 6, 2023 | 9 am – 4 pm
According to the United Nations, “Social justice is the view that everyone deserves equal economic, political and social rights, and opportunities.
Please join Co-Pastor, Dr. Lisa Johnson for our Lenten Retreat as she facilitates a challenging conversation around Jesus and the social justice order of 2023. Howard Thurman states, “Jesus is a partner in the pain of the oppressed and the example of His life offers a solution to ending the descent into moral nihilism. Hatred does not empower—it decays. Only through self-love and love of one another can God’s justice prevail.”
Facilitator: Rev. Dr. Lisa Johnson
