Faith in the City
Clergy and lay leaders are invited to come for all or part of these four days of specific study and training in the theology and practice of “Kingdom Ministry” in our time and place. This is a course for academic credit, kingdom credit, or both.
Jan. 7—Tuesday, (9 am-2 pm)
Introduction to Race in Metropolitan Richmond: History of Race in Richmond: Rev. Ben Campbell. Current information and data on race in metropolitan Richmond. Lunch will be served at 11:30.
Jan. 8—Wednesday, (9 am-2 pm)
Theological and Scriptual Exploration of Race: A Theology of Race: Dr. John Kinney. Scripture, Theology and Race: Dr. John Kinney and STVU Faculty. Lunch will be served at 11:30.
Jan. 9—Thursday, (9 am-2 pm)
Structural Racism and Personal Racism: Historic and Current Racial Structures: Drs. Kinney and Campbell. Survey of Christian Strategies for Addressing Race: A panel of local Christian leaders. Lunch will be served at 11:30.
Jan. 10—Friday, (9 am-12 noon)
Building an Interracial Metropolitan Richmond: Strategic Thinking for the Church: Drs. Kinney and Campbell.
