The Way of the Creative:
An On-line Program for Creative Self Recovery
Recovering & reconnecting with your creative self
As children of a loving and creative God, facilitator Richard Rumble believes we all are endowed with a birthright gift of creativity. Yet few of us have held onto that gift. And so it sits, often forgotten, certainly unused and untapped, in the soil of our soul, awaiting some attention, care and nurture.
This program is offered to help you discover, uncover, and recover your latent creative ability. Through an 8-week structure offered over Zoom (a video and audio conferencing platform) and consisting of an opening session, weekly meetings, and a closing session, we will journey together, offering each other encouragement and support, as we identify, name and claim those creative gifts we have been given.
The program is a workshop and involves reading, writing, and specific creative assignments that can be shared with the group. We will use exercises from books authored by Julia Cameron and Christine Valters Paintner.
Goals & objectives:
- Identify, name and claim our creative gifts.
- Develop healthy habit structures for using these gifts.
- Discover ways to share, enliven, and engage our creative selves within our communities.
